How to play

  • Rain falls from the storm clouds and runs downhill. Drag your finger or mouse to draw a levee, and the water slides along it.
  • Slope your levees down toward the reservoir. Every drop that lands in it saves a litre.
  • Water that reaches the town fills the flood gauge. When it reaches 100%, the run is over.
  • Levees cost earth and wear away under the rain. Your earth refills after each storm, and the pumps lower the flood a little.
  • Each storm is heavier and windier than the last, and from the fourth they come in pairs. Everyone gets the same valley each day. Press Space to start or pause.
